Open House Pick: Ritzy Kahala Home

The kitchen is what gets me interested, but the bathroom’s what makes me swoon. At this nearly 5,000-square-foot Kahala casa, the kitchen looks like Bobby Flay should be in there grilling up burgers and chopping up chilies, and has room for the entire camera crew to boot.

As you’d expect from a giant house in this neighborhood, it has a ton of luxury touches. Case in point, a new master bedroom was added in 2009 with wood flooring imported from Bali, light fixtures imported from Italy and lovely French doors with privacy screens.

Like I said, the bathroom seals the deal for me, and this one is a doozy. It has an architectural soaking tub (which means it’s free standing and super-duper deep), a couple of roomy vanities and a rain shower. And did I mention that it’s courtyard-accessible? So if your hour’s soak in the tub doesn’t relax you enough, you can slip outside for a dip in your saltwater swimming pool, which—naturally—has its own waterfall. And don’t even get me started on the spa.

Definitely worth a click, and a look, this weekend. Happy house hunting!
