According to autoblog.com, Italy is investigating a traffic engineer, 63 chiefs of police and 39 local governments for cheating citizens out of $1.86 million in traffic fines. Allegedly, these defenders of public safety cut the yellow-light time in half in order to increase the number of motorists who would get caught by red-light cameras. In more than 300 municipalites.
