“My fave local drink is my Good Life Daiquiri using Kō Hana Agricole Rum, lime, Bevy’s chamomile bar syrup and elderflower. So good and refreshing on hot days. It’s very versatile, so it’s perfect with fresh fish tacos or poke and ceviche.”

“Kō Hana Koho (aged) rum with a sharp cheddar cheese or uniekaas (Dutch cheese). The way that the richness of the cheese plays with the slight sweetness of the rum is a match made in heaven. It makes the rum taste creamier, richer and lends a full mouthfeel that coats the entire palate.”

Chandra Lam Lucariello, director of mixology and spirits education, Southern Wine & Spirits

Pairing

Dave Newman“My favorite pairing would have to be a Kō Hana rum daiquiri with Kualoa oysters. I love just having the oysters with a little lemon juice and a mist of peated Scotch like Ardbeg, then washing them down with a Kō Hana daiquiri. Besides just being delicious together, I love that both locally produced products are so deeply entrenched in Hawaiian history … I love the pairing on so many levels. And trust me about the mist of peated Scotch.”
