In our Haunted Hawaii feature, Jeff Gere shares how to tell a spooky story in "It Was a Dark and Stormy Night.  No Wait..."

This month, Jeff Gere heads up the Talk Story Festival, a free, three-day storytelling extravaganza. It runs Oct. 10 to 12 at McCoy Pavilion in Ala Moana Park. Catch the festival’s first night, devoted to spooky stories. On Sunday, get the lowdown on do-it-yourself chicken skin at the storytelling workshop.
