The Manifest's Man Challenge in Honolulu

If you notice a friend sporting a new beard this month, they might be participating in The Manifest’s third annual Man Challenge, a fundraiser for testicular and prostate cancer in which men pledge not to shave for the entire month of November. “It’s a lot to ask,” says Manifest owner Brandon Reid. “The guys tell me their boss is giving them weird looks. It’s hard on relationships. It’s a hygienic marathon, really. But there’s also this camaraderie: Let’s go through this pain, this itchy neck syndrome, together.” Updated photos of the beardy contestants’ progress will be posted at The Manifest all month; stop by and donate a pledge for your favorite. 32 N. Hotel St., manifesthawaii.com.
