The HONOLULU 100 - A Message from the Mayor

Published:

So many wonderful people have contributed to the progress of the city and county of Honolulu during the past century.

Many are prominent leaders and historical figures, some are legends, others may no longer be household names. But while the individual backgrounds and achievements of the “Honolulu 100” may vary widely, together they represent the enriching diversity and culture of our Islands, our roots and traditions, and our belief that there’s simply no place like our home—Hawai‘i. We can see ourselves, our history, our Honolulu in their faces, and take great pride in the knowledge that their contributions are ours to cherish and enjoy. Ha‘aheo No ‘O Honolulu.

Mufi Hannemann,
Mayor
