Known for its large selection of wine, liquors and beer, Tamura’s Fine Wine and Liquors isn’t resting on its laurels. “We are expanding our selection of craft specialty beers,” says Roy Fujimura, the company’s wine director. “And we plan to add more of a selection of everything to the Wahiawa grocery store.” There are three Tamura wine shops and two grocery stores islandwide. At the Kaimuki and Kailua locations, shoppers can also choose from a selection of fine cheeses, hummus, crackers, chips and poke to complement their beverages. 3496 Waialae Ave., 735-7100.

Today we stopped by Tamura's in Kailua and had a great experience. We tasted some poke from the large selection and ended up with a 1/2 lb of poke and bottle of Rogue Morimoto hazelnut brown ale beer. Great store, we will be back!
