When you’re in the mood for something sweet, skip the Hershey’s bar and treat yourself to the delectable chocolates from Padovani’s Chocolates. All chocolates are handmade in small batches using European cocoa, and with more than 30 varieties, there’s something to please every palate. “It’s a very precise process,” says Pierrette Padovani, describing how the chocolates are melted and molded. “And we don’t use preservatives.” Padovani’s specializes in ganaches, truffles, caramels and liqueur chocolates, and incorporates favorite local ingredients such as lilikoi, ginger, macadamia nut and Kona coffee. 650 Iwilei Rd. #280, 536-4567, padovanichocolates.com.
