Townies have their Tamura’s and Fujioka’s for wine and spirits, but on the Leeward side, the place to shop is Ewa Pantry. Owner Danny Hwang has specialized in spirits and beers since taking over the ‘Ewa Pantry space in 2004, but carries a decent collection of wines, too—thousands of items, in all, including such rarities as Rémy Martin Louis XIII Cognac. Hwang recently sold one of his two 1.75-litre bottles of this cognac for $4,500; perhaps the other is waiting for you? 91-1001 Kaimalie St., ‘Ewa Beach, 689-9700.

I'm a townie and when I'm in the Ewa plains (which is maybe once a year) I always go to Ewa Pantry. I also stop by the KFC next door too. Can't hold @djkrazyk down.
This is not your father's liquor store. Incredible selection, immaculate display of bottles from floor to ceiling. Very decent prices. Try it, you'll be back.
