Editors' Pick

We asked Town executive chef and avid locavore Ed Kenney where he goes to pick up his favorite cheeses, and he said, “To be honest, Whole Foods. They just have the best selection.” The store’s more than 200-strong inventory includes cheese from Surfing Goat Dairy in Kula, Maui, but there’s also a world’s worth of creamy delicacies on display: a Gorwydd Caerphilly from Wales, an aged Sartori Stravecchio Wisconsin, a Sini Fulvi Sottocenere with truffles from Italy. Whole Foods even stocks raw, unpasteurized cheeses, such as a Murcia Curado D.O. raw milk goat cheese from Spain, and employees will help you pair each cheese with a perfect wine or beer. 4211 Waialae Avenue, 738-0820.
