Frozen yogurt came back with a vengeance in 2008, with a new crop of stores reinventing the once-staid dessert into a do-it-yourself experience: Mix and match flavors and pile on obscene amounts of toppings. Among the newbies, Menchie’s comes out on top, with a rotating lineup of more than 50 flavors ranging from cake batter to peppermint to pomegranate, and 50 different toppings, including hot fudge and li hing mui powder.
