Although Pacific Soul Tattoo, a second-story shop overlooking Kuhio Avenue, specializes in traditional Samoan tribal tattoos, its Waikiki location ensures a steady stream of tourists who just want something to remember their vacation by. “They all want honu with hibiscus,” says tattoo artist Tino Olsen. But he says he tries to make each one special. “We’ll do anything, but I try to talk with the client, and come up with something that is meaningful for them. That’s my job, as a tattoo artist, to interpret your ideas into something amazing.”
