Legend's Sports Pub

Honolulu isn’t a hockey town, so imagine our surprise when we wandered into Legend Sports Pub on a Thursday afternoon and found the place packed with NHL fans. It was as if every Canadian on Oahu had somehow found out that the modest hangout—not much bigger than our old college dorm—was one of the few local sports bars that actually featured televised hockey matches. There’s nothing fancy about the place. Legend doesn’t serve food, offers only three beers on tap (Budweiser, Samuel Adams and Coors Light) and, at the time we visited, had only one bartender serving the entire room. But we actually like the place. It’s the kind of sports bar we’d want in our own neighborhood.
