Kawika Marasco has worked for more than eight years as a concierge at the W Honolulu-Diamond Head, so he’s used to unusual requests. “We really don’t say no to much,” says Marasco, who’s done everything from coordinating private helicopter rides to driving to Bob’s Big Boy in Mapunapuna to satisfy a guest’s craving. There was one request, however, that still sticks out in his memory. “A few years ago, there was a big concert at the Blaisdell, and the celebrity who was throwing it wanted to pack the place,” Marasco says. “He had us go to the box office and buy about 400 tickets to make sure it sold out.”
