Wire & Wood Music

Waikiki is full of live music,  but you might not expect to find a full recording studio among all the hotels. For eight years, Steve Jones (above) and Bryan Kessler have run a full-service digital recording studio out of Eaton Square, on Hobron Lane. The studio, Wire and Wood Music, has hosted local artists such as Sonja Mendez, Azure McCall, Rich Crandal, Darlene Ahuna and Herb Ohta, as well as Japanese artists from labels such as Della Records. “When people come in from out of town, our studio is so convenient. They can just walk over from their hotel,” says Kessler.
