Lucky you date in Hawai‘i, if this online report from Sperling’s BestPlaces is to be believed (www.bestplaces.net). “America’s Best and Worst Cities for Dating” ranks Honolulu as the 10th best city for dating, “on criteria that includes percentage of singles ages 18-24, population density and dating venues per capita such as concerts, coffee shops, bars, bowling alleys, etc.” What put Honolulu in the top 10?

Honolulu ranks first in the diversity index category, which rates the likelihood of randomly meeting someone of a different race or ethnicity, and scores the highest in the dining out category as well. Honolulu has the lowest number of lingerie shops per capita, probably because no one’s wearing much clothing to begin with.

By the way, the No. 1 city for dating in America, according to this report? Austin, Texas.
