A Best Service award for Alan Wong's??? Alas our last three visits all started the same way -- with a 15 or 20 minute wait in the bar despite reservations made well in advance. The service is certainly friendly but more along the lines of "Hi, I'm Fred and I'm your server tonight" than the level of professional care a restaurant of this price level should provide. And any request for any special dishes not listed was met with, "We're sure you can find something on the menu." Chummy servers and a rigid kitchen do not add up to quality service.
Thats too bad -- Have never had any problem at Alan Wongs.
I was also surprised not to see 12th Ave, Grill -- It is one of the best!
Why was there no "Best Breakfast" category. I like Egg's N' Things and Wailana Coffee House myself.
Too Bad RumFire at Sheraton Waikiki didn't make the cut! Chef Matthew Naula did a fantastic job with the Bahawaiian menu. The food is to die for and and the rum drinks are great! I go there all the time and it is my favorite spot to hang out with my friends!
Hmmm...Not so sure of Roy's Restaurant taking the top award....Not too much of a fan there!
What about blue dragon on the big island? By far the best restaurant on the big island
