New Highlights at Hiroshi's

There's a lot going on at Hiroshi Eurasion Tapas this September. Chef Hiroshi Fukui has a new "locally grown" menu for the month, that is now available on Saturdays in addition to it's normal Sunday and Monday availability. It's stilla 4-course set menu, which is available for $35 per person (not including tax & gratuity).

Then on Tuesday Sept 15th at 6 p.m., Chef Hiroshi Fukui  will host a special Chef's Table event. Usually he unveils his new culinary creations at his seasonal "Contemporary Kaiseki" dinner. But why wait? Chef Hiroshi will unveil four of his latest, new food creations, using four of his favorite fishes for this inaugural dinner. Hiroshi will also come out & explain each dish to diners, describing the creative process in an effort to enhance the dining experience. Here is the menu:

Amuse Bouche
Spoonful of Kona Kampachi Ceviche
Ho Farm’s yellow grape tomato, Hauula tomato, Japanese cucumber & orange segments, cilantro

First Course
Panko Crusted Moi
heirloom red carrot sauce, Hauula tomato lomi with shiso & Kahuku corn

Second Course
Chef Caught Craig Yamada Smoked Pacific Blue Marlin Salad
haricot verts, Waialua asparagus, Thai basil, Big Island hearts of palm with lemon vinaigrette & roasted garlic aioli

Main Course
Frankie’s Peppercorn Crusted Mekajiki
brussel sprouts, squid ink pasta & au poivre sauce

The course dinner is available for $45 a person (not including tax, gratuity or wines). Limited seating and by reservations only.

Also, save the date for a cooking demonstration at Hiroshi Eurasion Tapas.  On the evening of Monday Sept 28th, chef Hiroshi will demonstrate preparing each dish on a specially designed menu to the participants. It's a fun & lightly educational experience and chance to interact with chef Hiroshi. The menu will be announced shortly. Check the What's New section of hiroshihawaii.com at a later date for more information.
