Off The Wall - Silent Movies at Du Vin
Brasserie Du Vin will launch a new silent film showcase called "Off The Wall" on March 25th. The program takes place on their patio.
A special selection of small plates and appetizers will be created to compliment the movie.
The inagural "Off The Wall" will feature the film City Lights staring Charlie Chaplain.
City Lights: A Comedy Romance in Pantomime is a silent comedy/drama released just as "talkies" were starting to take over the film landscape. It is considered by many to be Charlie Chaplain's greatest work. The story revolves around Chaplain's Tramp character as he struggles to help a blind girl he has recently fallen in love with.
The presentation starts at 7 p.m. And free popcorn will be provided to all guests.
The "Off The Wall" program is a part of a larger series of new programming at Du Vin. They've expanded the "Tasting Tuesdays" to include special themes. Upcoming programs include special tastings for cheeses and a Kauai honey tasting (April 20). Also, Saturday nights at the restaurant and wine bar will include live entertainment by Ginai and Pierre Grill (starting April 10 at 9 p.m.).
