Years of Experience: 1969: University of Michigan School of Dentistry. 3 years with the Air Force Dental Corps at Hickam AFB and held a private practice in Waianae before moving to Big Island in 1975 to begin his 3-decade long practice.
What Sets You Apart? I have 2 foreign trained non-Hawaii dentists working as clinical assistants and a business staff with decades of managerial experience. A large international dental research organization has enlisted us as valued dental product evaluators, which keeps us focused on what’s new that can truly benefit our patients.
Proudest Accomplishments: To be honored as one of Hawaii’s top dentists. I am grateful for my many new and longtime patients who have entrusted their dental care to me and my experienced staff. Our 2 hygienists have won multiple national and state awards for excellence.
Greatest Contribution to the Community: We started the Daniel Sayre Foundation (www.danielsayrefoundation.com) to honor our son that passed away 8/26/97 in a hiking accident and to express our heartfelt appreciation by giving back to the fire, rescue and emergency personnel that helped us through this very difficult time.
