Big Island landmark Seaside Restaurant and Aqua Farm opened in 1921. Today run by the original owners' grandson, the restaurant has garnered numerous Hale Aina Awards for Best Big Island Restaurant. The claim to fame is fresh seafood; this is the only restaurant in the state with its own fishpond. Dinner served Tuesday through Thursday, 5 to 8:30, Friday and Saturday, to 9:00, closed Monday.
