Owners Don and Lindsay Dymond, along with chefs John Memering and Jason Iwane, have created a cafe that offers everything from morning espresso to evening Nalo Mele honey-balsamic-glazed, pan-roasted duck breast ($22). "It's a neighborhood institution," wrote HONOLULU Magazine's John Heckethorn of the Kalapawai Cafe and Deli. "In the morning, it's like Cheers, minus the alcohol: Everyone knows everyone else's name." It has a full dinner menu that is praised for being consistently delicious, and everything in the deli case is delectable (the brussel sprouts are a must try, trust us). Open Sunday through Thursday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., dinner service from 5:30.
