For the fifth year in a row, Formaggio Wine Bar has won a Hale Aina Award for Best Wine Program, but that isn't all that's good about this restaurant. The food is great, too, reports HONOLULU Magazine, which praises the "eggplant Napoleon: a stack of grilled vegetables, with a dollop of caramelized onions adding sweetness and depth. It was a dish that would make you happy to be vegetarian." Or try a Kobe beef burger, "immense, served on a bed of fried rice dotted with cabernet sauce." Open Monday from 5:30 to 11 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday from 5:30 to 11:30 p.m., Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. and Saturday from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. Kitchen closes one hour prior to closing.
