“This photo was shot from my lanai on the morning of July 5. I was reading the newspaper when the smell of smoke caught my attention. I went on my lanai and the lower slope of Punchbowl near Stevenson Middle School was ablaze. The firefighters arrived right away, and one of them pulled a hose, walking straight between the burning bushes. I ran for my camera and caught several shots before the fire was extinguished. I felt very grateful to those firefighters for their quick response.”
