Beginning on Saturday, August 8, International Market Place will kick-off Market Place Mele – a series of virtual and in-restaurant activations celebrating local music, stories of the past and Don Ho’s 90th birthday.


Haku Collective and International Market Place present Mele in Hawaii

Tune-in to International Market Place’s Facebook and Haku Collectiveʻs Facebook or Youtube on August 8 at 4:30 p.m. HST for Mele in Hawaii - a livestream virtual concert featuring Kimie, Henry Kapono and Puamana, hosted by McKenna Maduli. Viewers will have the chance to win gift cards to restaurants and retailers at International Market Place.


Celebrating Don Ho’s 90th Birthday on August 13th

International Market Place will celebrate legendary crooner Don Ho’s 90th birthday with the release of a short video on its Facebook page featuring archive footage, photos and new interviews from friends and family. Want to share your own fond memories of Don Ho? International Market Place invites you to submit stories to their Facebook page for a chance to be featured.


ShoreFyre Weekend Concert Series

The gang at ShoreFyre is bringing the beats back to International Market Place with a weekend concert series featuring Tavana, Mike Love and Kings of Spade. Beginning on Friday, August 14, for three weekends in a row, music lovers can enjoy live music from ShoreFyre’s outdoor lanai overlooking Kalakaua Avenue. Limited tickets and seating are available.


Virtual Talk Story & Musical Performances

Get a glimpse of the various ways International Market Place continues to honor its rich history and culture, plus enjoy virtual musical performances by local artists including Kimie, Nathan Aweau and Taimane Gardner. The virtual activations will go live on International Market Place’s Facebook page beginning August 26.
