What’s New at the Reimagined International Market Place?

Join us for the new International Market Place’s grand opening.

Get excited: The iconic and newly reimagined International Market Place is back! Enjoy the center’s open-air setting as you peruse more than 50 retail shops and the hottest restaurants. Join us on Thursday, Aug. 25 at the grand opening in Waikīkī, as we explore all that’s new. We’ll also be streaming the event live on our Facebook and giving you the inside scoop on our Instagram and Twitter.

Located in the heart of Waikīkī facing Kalākaua Avenue, there’s a lot to see, taste and do at International Market Place. Parking is ample and easy to get to with a new garage on Kūhiō Avenue accessible from Walina Street. At International Market Place, you’ll find a mix of shops, from luxury brands to local boutiques. Be sure to stop by the long-awaited opening of Hawai‘i’s first Saks Fifth Avenue and many other first-to-Hawai‘i retailers.

All that shopping will work up an appetite, and the Grand Lānai restaurants will have you covered with a diverse selection of extraordinary indoor and outdoor chef-driven restaurants. To name a few, Eating House 1849 will pay homage to Hawai‘i’s vibrant culinary heritage with ingredients sourced from local farmers, ranchers, foragers and fishermen. STRIPSTEAK, Chef Mina’s evocative take on the traditional steakhouse, will feature the finest cuts of all-natural meat, freshly-caught fish and seafood, and seasonal local produce.

Be sure to stick around for the nightly show just after sundown, featuring the ceremonial lighting of the Lamakū Torch Tower and an unforgettable storytelling performance. The 150-year-old Banyan tree that was planted in the days of Queen Emma remains at the center of International Market Place. Enjoy other beautiful, iconic features such as the newly built tree house and rain wall, or take an interactive cultural tour through the rich history of Waikīkī and International Market Place. Discover markers throughout the Market Place, scan codes to read stories from the past, and gain access to exclusive offers.

Plus, staying connected is easier than ever with mobile charging stations to reboot your digital devices and free wi-fi throughout the center.

The grand opening of International Market Place will be on Thursday, Aug. 25. Go online to International Market Place’s website, Facebook and Instagram for more information. You can also download the International Market Place App and get instant access to the latest updates on special offers, openings, and events.
