With this drink, Dave Newman turns a cocktail on its head. Instead of bitters as the finishing touch, they’re the base of the drink, reinforced with Campari. Cut with a simple syrup infused with apricot pits and topped with soda water, it tastes like a blood-orange soda dressed up for Christmas (thanks to the Angostura bitters). We’re not the only ones who love it; a Portland bar was so smitten with the drink that it’s now featuring the Drawn and Quartered on its own menu.
