Banh xeo at Ngon Vietnamese Cuisine

It’s the sizzle that gives it its name. Banh xeo, literally “sizzling cake,” crisps up nicely when rice flour, turmeric and coconut juice meet a hot skillet. On top go shrimp, slices of pork and handfuls of bean sprouts and chives, then the whole thing gets folded over, omelette-style.
