Kuhio - The elaborate and spectacular exterior neon lighting of the Kuhio Theatre is shown in all its glory in 1945. Neon was not only on the walls and vertical sign, but also under the lobby canopy. On the tower, the sign spelled out “K-U-H-I-O,” then the circles lit up successively, ending with the starbust at the top. This amazing neon display was certainly the most unique in Honolulu.
