Underwater Kisses

Wish you could live out your Blue Lagoon fantasies without the crowds of Hanauma Bay? Snorkel with your beau in the crystal clear waters of Yokohama Bay, known also as Pray for Sex Beach. It has one of the most pristine—and lively—reef systems left on Oahu. The end of Farrington Highway, Waianae. Oh, and don’t leave your valuables in the car.

Falling Head Over Heels

Jumping from a plane and plummeting through the atmosphere nearly three miles above the earth is an extreme way to discover true love. Take to the skies with Skydive Hawaii and together enjoy the views of the entire island 14,000 feet above. All first jumps are tandem with a professional instructor. 68-760 Farrington Hwy, Dillingham Airfield, Mokuleia, 945-0222, skydivehawaii.com.

Take Her to Heaven

This one’s for hardcore hikers only, and is technically illegal to boot, but we promise it’ll get your hearts racing and make you both weak in the knees. Located in Haiku Valley, the more-than-3,900 steps of the Stairway to Heaven lead to the 2,800-foot peak of Puukeahiakahoe, with majestic views of the Windward side of Oahu, when you’re not shrouded by cloud cover, that is. The Stairs have been closed since 1987, but a little googling should reveal pointers on how to access the trail.

Ring! Ring!

Take your date on the move, by hopping on your bikes. The bike paths that lead through Ala Moana Beach Park make for a relaxed and scenic ride, particularly if one of you has a bell on your handlebars to ring jauntily along the way, and you can end up at Ward Centres for a refreshing frozen yogurt at Menchie’s. On the other hand, if the two of you are already experienced cyclists, a friendly race up Tantalus might be just the ticket for a love connection. And remember, helmets are sexy!

A Private Affair

If you want to really get away from it all—and have a hefty bank account—take your lover to Secret Island, a private island owned by Kualoa Ranch. Accessible via a narrow isthmus, the island guarantees privacy, and lots of it. For the more active couples, there’s beach volleyball, kayaking, canoeing and more. It’s the ultimate date, but be prepared to shell out for it, rental rates range from $5,500 to $15,000. kualoa.com.
