Ninth Avenue Flowers & Island Fresh Produce

Photo: istock

Owners Nelson Liu and Roland Chung have packed a wealth of fragrant and savory goods into this corner location. Potted orchids and plumeria lei crowd the window looking out onto Waialae, and right next door, you’ll find fresh produce, much of it local and well labeled, such as beets, long beans, okra, papayas and mangoes. Island Fresh Produce is also a one-stop spot for Thai ingredients, including jasmine, long and sticky rice, as well as pad thai sauces, canned bamboo shoots, mangosteens and rambutans.

3441 Waialae Avenue, 737-7272.
