Score a Deal in Waikiki

A “modern 3-bedroom, 1-bathroom villa” in Waikiki can be yours for just $222,799! Your commute is less pleasant than the price tag, however—this Waikiki is a housing development near Perth in Western Australia. The name was adopted by developers in 1974 to conjure images of “the popular Hawaiian holiday resort which is famous for its surfing beaches.” Nearly 11,000 people now live in the Down Under version of Waikiki. In Australian dollars, the price of this home is $296,000.
