Hawaii lawmakers begin debating legislation to legalize same-sex marriage. If approved and signed into law by Gov. Neil Abercrombie, Hawaii would become the 15th state to allow gay couples to wed.
The Hawaii House committees continued a 14-hour special session on Saturday, Nov. 2 to hear public testimony on SB1. The legislation would allow gay couples to wed in the state.
