5 Fun Facts about International Market Place's Grand Lānai Restaurant Week
(Sponsored) This weeklong event still has us on culinary cloud nine.
International Market Place kicked off its first-ever Grand Lānai Restaurant Week this year, from April 10 to 16. During the weeklong event, diners enjoyed prix fixe meals at special prices from Eating House 1849 by Roy Yamaguchi, Flour & Barley, Goma Tei, Kona Grill, STRIPSTEAK and Yauatcha. Check out some food-forward highlights of the event.
1. Killer deals
There were some serious deals all week long, including Flour & Barley’s three-course menu—your choice of appetizer, main course of pizza or pasta and dessert for just $35.
2. Gourmet grinds
Grand Lānai Restaurant Week was the perfect chance for diners to finally try out that gourmet restaurant they’d been eyeing, including STRIPSTEAK, which featured this fancy "Instant Bacon" on its menu.
3. Chance to win pizza-tossing lessons
Diners who hashtagged their Grand Lānai Restaurant Week photos with #marketplacestories were automatically entered for a chance to win a pizza-tossing and Italian cooking lesson for five.
4. Sweet endings
Many restaurants offered desserts as part of their prix fixe menus, but our vote for Most Beautiful Dessert definitely went to Yauatcha’s Tropical Dome. And in case you were wondering, yes—it did taste as good as it looked.
5. Until next year
This year’s Grand Lānai Restaurant Week was International Market Place’s first ever—but, hopefully, not its last. To see photos from others diners, check out #marketplacestories on Instagram.
