Local, award-winning chef “Ippy” Aiona’s passion for food made him a finalist on Food Network Star and a Forbes’ 30 under 30 contender. Now, his newest restaurant pays homage to his two greatest culinary influences. The Koa Table by Chef Ippy offers an Italian menu, a nod to mother Robin’s Italian influence and previously owned restaurant Solimenes; memories of his father, Max’s, old Kamuela Deli shines through in the restaurant’s Hawaiian offerings. Inspired by the family koa dining table passed down through generations, chef Aiona, wife Genna and his parents invite guests over for a family-style meal at The Koa Table by Chef Ippy.
