The Honolulu Zoo welcomes lion cubs

Published:

This past Saturday, the Honolulu Zoo released lioness Moxy's three cubs into the lion exhibit. Visitors only got a glimpse of the cubs through a huge viewing window. With help from a zookeeper, though, we got a close-up of the adorable cubs and captured them on camera.

Coincidentally, the cubs debut comes shortly after Gov. Neil Abercrombie's press conference announcing the return of Disney's Broadway production The Lion King to Honolulu in 2014. Wouldn't it have been cool to hear the "Circle of Life" music play as you saw them tumble out?

Check out this cub compilation below. We bet you can't watch without going, "Awww."
