Description

Hawai’i Pacific University Theatre Presents Time Stands Still by Donald Margulies and directed by Alex Munro.

A Tony nominated play by Pulitzer Prize winner Donald Margulies, Time Stands Still begins with Sarah and her partner, James, returning to their Brooklyn apartment shortly after Sarah suffered severe injuries while working as a photojournalist in Iraq. A visit from their friend Richard and his new (and surprisingly young) girlfriend, Mandy, lays bare the fault lines in Sarah and James’ relationship. Their struggle to return to a “normal life” after witnessing so much death and carnage is complicated by past relationships and conflicting goals for their future.

Margulies deftly explores timely and relevant topics through four fully-realized characters in a highly compelling piece of theater.
