Roger Ebert Documentary at the Honolulu Museum

Aug 19, 2014 to Aug 21, 2014

It seems fitting that beloved film critic Roger Ebert should have his own movie—this one, a documentary, named Life Itself by Steve James. Ebert first met James when he reviewed a film of his, five months prior to his passing. Life Itself includes scenes of Ebert in the hospital interspersed with scenes of earlier moments in his life, his accomplishments, favorite movies and words from his friends, Martin Scorsese and Werner Herzog, among others.

Tuesday, August 19 and Thursday, August 21. $8 Museum members, $10 general. Honolulu Museum of Art, 900 S. Beretania St., Honolulu. For more information and times, visit
