Join the Waikīkī Aquarium for a continuation of our popular Ocean Talks with Dr. Keoni Wilhelm on his recent journey to Papahānaumokuākea.

On Thursday, November 7, the Waikīkī Aquarium will host Dr. Keoni (Hans) Wilhelm for a seminar on his recent expedition to the Papahānaumokuākea Marine National Monument. A Hawaiian Language, History and Culture teacher at Kamehameha Schools, Dr. Wilhelm traversed the Kaulakahi Channel this past summer for a research expedition to the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands to deploy field camps. He joined the NOAA Fisheries Hawaiian Monk Seal Research Program and Marine Turtle Biology and Assessment Program. During his talk, Dr. Wilhelm will discuss the mission and purpose of the research trip, the work he conducted during his travels, and the meaningful opportunities he experienced in an effort to protect Papahānaumokuākea for future generations.
