The centennial of L’Histoire du Soldat shines with an original translation from the French and staging by Todd Farley with a new team of Hawaiian translators.
Eight Tresemble musicians perform with University of Hawai'i actors and dancers, who play the roles of Koa (soldier), Kepalō (devil), Mea haʻi ʻOlelo (the narrator), and ke Kamāliʻiwahine (the princess) in this timeless “sold my soul to the devil” tale.
This event is presented by Chamber Music Hawai‘i.
