07:00 PM until 09:30 PM

Description

Join The Merwin Conservancy on Wednesday, December 5th at the Honolulu Museum of Art for our latest installment of The Green Room, a literary and environmental salon series that fosters a reverence for language, nature, and imagination in the community.

Featured guests will be Lewis Hyde and Matthew Zapruder in conversation. Hyde is author of The Gift while Zapruder is an accomplished poet, translator and former poetry column editor at The New York Times.

The duo will share excerpts of their own writing along with the work of those who have inspired them (including poetry by Conservancy founder W.S. Merwin), and engage in spontaneous conversation examining the nature of creativity. The presentation begins at 7:00 p.m. in the Doris Duke Theatre at the Honolulu Museum of Art.

Tickets are $20 per person, with a $15 ticket price for museum members, and are available at the museum, by phone at (808) 532-6097, or online.
