Ka Iwi Explorations 2020: Guided Hikes in Hawai‘i

The Ka Iwi Coalition is organizing free public access guided hikes of the mauka lands along the Ka Iwi coast (East Honolulu) with Ka Iwi Explorations 2020. Each year, the community celebrates the conservation success of the entire contiguous Ka Iwi coastline, mauka to makai, after 45 years of community initiatives (such as Save Sandy Beach) to protect this area.

The public is invited to sign up for a guided hike and experience the Ka Iwi Mauka lands. This is a rare opportunity to explore a portion of the property, discover the natural and cultural resources of the area, and learn about volunteering opportunities.

*Note: Staggered time slots available for both easy and moderate hikes. The easy hike will take approximately 2.5–3 hours round trip and the moderate hike can take up to 4 hours round trip. Both hikes are within Parcel 1 of Ka Iwi Mauka lands.
