This month, Impact Hub HNL brings “Jai Ho! Bollywood Dance Night,” a festive evening celebrating the beauty of Indian culture to Honolulu on Saturday, May 18 from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Presented by Impact Hub HNL members, Prerna Kalra and Praju Chaubal of EventsByPraju, the evening will feature high energy dancers from Desi Boys and Sumoha Min, Dhol drum beats by Dave Gupta and dance music by DJ Rhombus.
A silent auction will also be an exciting part of the event and include items up for bid from Valia Honolulu, Doris Duke Theatre, Ten Tomorrow, The Kahala Hotel & Resort, Tea at 1024 and many more. The chosen beneficiary is Dynamic Community Solutions (DCS), a non-profit arm of Puʻuhonua o Waiʻanae, the houseless community located in Waiʻanae, Oʻahu that aids with transitional shelter. Guests are welcome to arrive in Indian Cultural outfits if they wish but are not required to. All female guests will receive Bindis (tiny decorative sticker worn on the center of the forehead). A henna artist will be on hand to create henna temporary tattoos for a small fee.
Tickets to attend the event are $25. (age 18 and above) and $15. (age 5 and above) and includes non-alcoholic drinks and a traditional Indian dinner by Kamana Kitchen consisting of Chicken Tikka Masala, Malai Kofta, Chana Masala, Naan Bread, Rice and Salad.
