Hawai‘i children and their families are invited to Hawai‘i Dental Association’s “Give Kids a Smile” clinic for dental screenings, teeth cleanings, topical fluoride treatment and consultation on Feb. 23, 2019.
If additional dental services are needed, families will get referrals for where they can seek treatment.
WHAT: Free dental clinic for children under the age of 18 (parent or guardian must be in attendance)
WHERE: Waikīkī Health and Dental Clinic (935 Makahiki Way in the McCully-Mōʻiliʻili area)
WHEN: Saturday, Feb. 23, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

More than 30 volunteer dentists will participate in the free clinic for children. “The Give Kids A Smile” event will include entertainment and giveaways. This is an annual event sponsored by Hawai‘i Dental Association (HDA) Young Dentist Group and its Hawai‘i Dental Association Foundation.
“Give Kids A Smile” is one of the ways HDA uses to address the issue of Hawai‘i’s keiki having one of the highest rates of cavities in the nation due to untreated tooth decay.
