Description

Brent Catekista, a 1995 Kamehameha Schools graduate, is battling Neurofibromatosis (NF). The surgery to have the tumor removed from his neck was deemed complicated and it was decided it was best to have it done at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. This unexpected trip did not prepare Brent for the costs of medical expenses he endured. Although the surgery was a success and after completing radiation treatment in August 2016, it was discovered the cancer spread to his lungs. Brent underwent four chemotherapy treatments that have been unsuccessful in treating the cancer. Brent has been a fighter and continues to work with a team of physicians who are preparing him for the next step in his treatment.

Friends of Brent Catekista are organizing a fundraiser at The Republik to help him with medical treatment and costs.
