Beat-Lele is comprised of four Beatle-loving musicians who hail from the island of O‘ahu. Having performed for numerous years as a Beatles tribute band in Hawai‘i, they decided to reinvent themselves and fuse the beautiful music of The Beatles with their passion of playing ukuleles. There is no other musical group in the world we are aware of combining the timeless music of The Beatles to the soaring popularity of a simple ukulele with added percussion of a cajon.
For this evening the Nā Hōkū Hanohano nominees will be celebrating the release of their second album: Fab4 on4Strings.
Featuring 18 newly recorded songs, Beat-Lele partnered once again with two-time GRAMMY award-winning Producer/Engineer and 14-time Nā Hōkū Hanohano winner, Dave Tucciarone, to create an amazing follow up to their debut album.
On Fab4on4Strings, Beat-Lele continues to take on the challenges of re-creating on simple ukuleles and cajon (box drum), the complex arrangements posed by the progression of the entire span of The Beatles musical career. Together with spot on vocals and harmonies, Beat-Lele captures the excitement and enthusiasm of the original Beatle recordings while featuring seven songs from the Abbey Road album, now celebrating the 50th anniversary since its original release. Re-issued this year, this final recording of The Beatles is once again number one in the charts!
Fab4on4Strings also includes four “Live at the Cavern Club” tracks recorded on August of 2017 when the band was invited to perform ten shows over seven days at the prestigious International Beatle Week Festival in Liverpool, England, including the famous Cavern Club where The Beatles themselves performed 292 times in their early career.
