Argentine Tango Lesson for $5

Date/Time

Jan 3, 2019 to Jan 31, 2019
07:30 PM until 09:00 PM

This event occurs weekly, on Thursday.

Description

Come join Paradise Tango at our new studio space at Ala Moana for an hour and a half of traditional and modern tango music. This practica (tango dancing practice session) is meant to be an affordable option for folks who want to practice their tango in a fun, friendly, and enjoyable tango space.

Every Thursday Evening

  • Mini beginners lesson (7:30–8 p.m.): Come join us even if you've never danced before.

  • Open practica (8–9 p.m.): Dance with guided help from instructors and advanced dancers.

Dancers of all levels are welcome so come and join the fun and music. Let's grow the O‘ahu Tango community! We hope to see new and experienced dancers alike. Remember, practicas are where you can experiment and help each other become the dancers you want to be.

Parking

The best parking option is at the Keeaumoku Walmart Parking structure. We have a parking lot out front but the spaces are reserved for the restaurants after 5 p.m. There is also free street parking on Sheridan and surrounding streets.

What to Wear

Whatever you're comfortable in, though long skirts are hard to dance in. Sneakers, slippers (flip-flops), or heavy platform shoes are hard to dance in. Try bringing dress shoes for gentleman and heels/flats that stay on your feet well and that are slippery.

Cost

$5
