Maryknoll School’s 20th Annual Monsignor Charles A. Kekumano Award and Scholarship Dinner will recognize Master Navigator Nainoa Thompson for his remarkable contributions to navigation, scientific research and the welfare of our planet, and for inspiring the next generation to “mālama honua” – care for the planet. An exceptional student scholarship recipient will also be honored at the dinner for their commitment to academic excellence and community service. Attendees will enjoy a cocktail hour, silent auction and a sumptuous three-course meal, followed by an exciting live auction featuring exclusive trips and experiences. Proceeds from the dinner will benefit Maryknoll’s Kekumano Scholarship Endowment Fund.
The Noblesse Oblige Award for Service was created in memory of Monsignor Charles A. Kekumano and his selfless contributions to the community. The award is given to those who devote their talents to the service of others, and it honors those who give both example and meaning to Maryknoll’s moto, Noblesse Oblige (“To whom much is given, much is expected”).
