The buzz began with the practice rounds on Monday, but you'll really want to watch the pros tee off with the first round in Thursday. If you plan to spend a day on the course, backpacks and large bags are not allowed. Bring sunscreen and a light jacket and be ready to watch the competition in potentially windy weather. Or, if you would rather to see each shot close up, without walking, the Sony Open will be broadcast live on the Golf Channel.
